Norton Motorcycles, the TVS-backed British brand, has made a strong comeback at EICMA 2025 with the introduction of four new models: the Norton Manx, Manx R, Atlas, and Atlas GT. These motorcycles highlight Norton's commitment to blending heritage with contemporary performance and technology.
Norton Manx and Manx R: The Superbikes
- Engine: Both the Manx and Manx R are powered by a newly developed 1,200 cc V4 liquid-cooled engine.
- Performance: The engine produces 206 hp at 11,500 rpm and 128-130 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.
- Transmission: Six-speed constant mesh gearbox with slipper clutch and up/down quickshifter.
- Chassis: Built around a single cast aluminium monocoque frame with a single-sided billet aluminium swingarm.
- Weight: Dry weight of 204 kg.
- Suspension: Semi-active 43 mm Marzocchi USD forks and monoshock at the rear, electronically adjustable for compression and rebound damping.
- Wheels and Tires: 17-inch carbon fiber wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4SP tires.
- Brakes: Brembo Hypure monobloc calipers with dual 330 mm front discs and 245 mm rear disc supported by Bosch cornering ABS.
- Technology: 8-inch TFT touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity, rider aids including ride modes, traction control, slide control, launch control, hill start assist, keyless ignition, heated grips, daytime running lights, and live tracking.
The Manx models are designed for real-world road conditions with a focus on precision and rider feedback rather than pure track performance.
Norton Atlas and Atlas GT: Adventure Motorcycles
- Engine: Both models use a 585 cc parallel-twin engine producing approximately 70 hp.
- Wheels: Available with spoke wheels (Atlas) for off-road focus and cast wheels (Atlas GT) for touring comfort.
- Lighting: Projector LED headlights.
- Display: 8-inch TFT touchscreen console.
- Features: Keyless ignition, heated grips, heated seats, cruise control, electronic riding aids including traction control and ride modes.
- Suspension and Brake Details: Yet to be fully revealed but expected to be premium and adjustable for touring and off-road needs.
Future Plans
Norton plans to launch two additional urban scrambler motorcycles featuring parallel-twin engines, expanding their portfolio further in 2026.
