Maruti WagonR Leads as Best-Selling Car in January 2025

The Indian automobile market started 2025 on a high note, with the Maruti Suzuki WagonR emerging as the best-selling car in January 2025. The popular hatchback recorded an impressive 24,078 units sold, marking its highest-ever sales for the month.
Maruti Suzuki’s consistent dominance in the Indian market was further reinforced as six of its models featured in the top 10 best-selling cars list. The Hyundai Creta, with 18,522 units sold, secured its position as the best-selling SUV for January 2025, aided by the introduction of its electric version.

Among the top 10 selling cars, six were SUVs, showcasing the growing demand for utility vehicles in India. The hatchback segment had three models, while the sedan segment featured only one model.

Other top-selling models included Maruti Suzuki Baleno (19,965 units), Swift (17,081 units), Tata Punch (16,231 units), Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (15,784 units), and Mahindra Scorpio (15,442 units). These figures highlight the shift in consumer preference towards fuel-efficient, feature-packed, and spacious vehicles that offer practicality and comfort.
