Maruti Suzuki Fronx bookings open – All you need to know

Maruti Suzuki has expanded its range of SUVs in the country with the new Fronx compact SUV. The Indian automaker showcased the new model at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023, and it will be sold through Nexa's premium outlets. Maruti Suzuki has commenced bookings for the Fronx and it is likely to launch in the coming months.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Exterior

At launch, the car will be offered in six monotone colors and three dual colors. Monochrome color options include Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver. The dual-tone colour options include earthy brown with Bluish Black, Opulent Red with Bluish Black, and Splendid silver with Bluish Black. In terms of dimensions, the Fronx measures 3,995mm length, 1,765mm length and 1,550mm height. The wheelbase is 2,520 mm.

The upright fascia is highlighted by the familiar NEXWave grille with a chrome finish, NEXTre' LED DRL and multi-reflector headlamps. As for the sides, the car gets silver roof rails, body-color ORVM (black on two-tone options), and precision-engineered cut alloy wheels.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Interior

As for the interior, the newly unveiled Maruti Suzuki Fronx has a dual-tone theme. The dashboard has a forged metal matte finish and silver inserts to accentuate the rugged personality. The list of features includes a floating SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen, rectangular air vents, a flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel with controls, and a heads-up display. In addition to this, the car also has a 360-degree camera and Suzuki Connect with more than 40 smart car features.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Engine

Post-launch, the Fronx compact SUV will be available with two gasoline engine options. The K-Class's 1.2-liter twin VVT engine makes 89 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. This engine is available in five-speed manual and five-speed AMT options. On the other hand, the K Series' 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 99PS at 5,500rpm and 147.6Nm of torque between 2,000 and 4,500rpm. The turbocharged engine is available with five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission options.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Safety

In terms of safety, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is equipped with up to six airbags (Zeta and Alpha variants only), ESP with Hill Hold Assist and rollover mitigation, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist (BA) and ISOFIX.
