KTM has revealed a 2021 version of its KTM 1290 Super Adventure R motorcycle, which is unlikely to be launched in India. This bike will be expensive than the 1290 Super Adventure, the most expensive adventure bike in its line. As the name suggests, the KTM is loaded with high-spec equipment and features. The bike also receives a new frame that has been done to improve the bike's aerodynamics to improve the rider's overall comfort.rn

KTM 1290 Super Adventure RrnrnThe engine is a 1,301 cc V-twin, producing 158 hp at 9,000 rpm and 138 Nm at 6,500 rpm. But the engine is now 1.6kg lighter and has a lighter hood, new pistons, variable linings, and a revised exhaust unit. Service intervals are 15,000 km, with a supposed fuel consumption figure of around 21 km/h. According to KTM, the gearshift mechanism has also been reworked, for faster and smoother shifts, although a fast transmission is not standard and is an optional extra.rnrn

The new three-part fuel tank allows a 23-liter fuel tank capacity, which can be stored at the bottom, which makes the center of gravity lower and better stable. A new subframe has also been added and the seat height is 880mm, 10mm lower than before.rnrnALPINA's aluminum wheels can be operated tubeless, and upfront is a pair of Brembo four-piston radial calipers, with manually adjustable WP XPLOR front and rear suspension, both with 220mm of travel. The new six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) powers the electronics, including traction control and slip control, with everything adjustable or completely off, and four riding modes, with an optional Rally setting that allows the rider to adjust the pedal response. Choose from different levels of wheel rotation. All of this can be accessed via a new 7-inch TFT screen.rn
