Ferrari has officially unveiled the Elettrica EV platform, marking the brand’s entry into the high-performance electric supercar era. Built entirely in-house and designed at Maranello, the Elettrica combines extreme performance with cutting-edge engineering, delivering over 1000 CV in boost mode and a claimed range exceeding 530 km.
The innovative architecture features short overhangs, an advanced driving position closer to the front axle, and a fully integrated battery in the floorpan. With 85% of its modules placed at the lowest possible position, Ferrari achieves a center of gravity 80 mm lower than its equivalent ICE models, significantly enhancing driving dynamics.
Engineering Innovations
For the first time in its history, Ferrari has introduced a separate rear subframe, designed to reduce cabin noise and vibration while maintaining structural stiffness. Complementing this is the third-generation 48V active suspension system — evolved from the Purosangue and F80 — to optimally distribute cornering forces across all four wheels, balancing comfort and precision.
Key Engineering Highlights:
- Advanced cooling system for optimal battery temperature management.
- High energy density battery at 195 Wh/kg — the highest in any EV.
- Dual electric axles with Halbach array rotors derived from F1 technology.
- In-house developed synchronous permanent magnet motors.
