Ducati India has announced that it will launch the Ducati Multistrada 950 S BS6 on November 2, 2020. Prior to the official quotation, the bike manufacturer has started accepting advance bookings for a nominal amount of Rs 1 lakh. Deliveries of the updated form will begin in the first week of November. The 2020 Ducati Multistrada 950 S will be the third BS6-compliant model from the Italian bike manufacturer.

The company says, "The new Multistrada 950 S embodies Ducati's traditional values of sophistication and performance while adding the latest technology." At the heart of the 2020 Ducati Multistrada 950 S is the BS6-compliant version of the liquid-cooled 937cc L-Twin engine. While official power and torque figures for the updated engine have not been disclosed, it is likely to remain unchanged. Currently, the engine delivers a maximum power of 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 96 Nm at 7,750 rpm. The transmission tasks will be performed by the same six-speed gearbox. However, it has a quick change.

Compared to the current model, the updated model will be 3 kg heavier. Its empty weight will be 230 kg. The 2020 Ducati Multistrada 950 S can be purchased with alloy wheels or rails. The 19-inch front wheel ensures stability off-road. Features like a full-color 5-inch TFT display, backlit steering wheel controls, hands-free system, two-way fast shifting, and cruise control are reserved for premium paint.

Bookings open for Ducati MultistradaThe bike also comes with several advanced novelties, such as the Ducati Quick Shift Up and Down (DQS), electronic suspension with Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evo (DSS), anti-lock braking system (ABS) from Bosch, and LED headlights with taillights, Ducati Curve. Minor cosmetic changes will also be made to the model. It contains a freshly designed gift that looks like it was taken from the Multistrada 1260.

The launch of the BS6 Ducati Multistrada 950 S will give high competition to BMW F 900 XR and the Triumph Tiger 900 GT. The BS4 Ducati Multistrada 950 was available in Standard configuration and priced at Rs 12.84 lakh. Considering the extra features on the new Multistrada 950 S, it will be priced slightly higher over the current model.
