BMW India has expanded its prestigious '50 Jahre M Edition' range with the introduction of its fifth model, the X7 40i. Available at Rs 1.20 crore (ex showroom), this bespoke SUV is produced locally at the brand's Chennai plant.
Available at a premium of Rs 2 lakh, the 50 Jahre M Edition, the 50 Jahre M Edition, the large kidney grille is highlighted in gloss black. In addition, the "M" logo on the front and rear along the wheel caps adds a touch of exclusivity. This special edition BMW X7 is available in Metallic White and Carbon Black exterior tones, with 21-inch jet black aluminum-alloy wheels. For those who want more, there is a set of M accessories to choose from, offering an Alcantara-wrapped M steering wheel, mirror covers and Alcantara-finished key fob.
Inside, the luxurious cabin is futher festooned with features such as M seat belts, heated power seats with lumbar support, and automatic anti-glare for all mirrors. In addition, the Comfort Access system remotely unlocks the doors and the tailgate as soon as it detects the key within a 1.5 meter radius. The trunk package adds side rails for easy loading, while the soft close feature increases convenience.
The BMW X7 40i 50 Jahre M Edition is only available with a 3.0-litre petrol engine. The engine makes 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The SUV is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.1 seconds and is tamed by an eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, three driving modes are offered: Efficient, Sport and Sport Plus, which modify the response of the engine, chassis, steering and braking system.
