2022 Hyundai Venue facelift SUV to launch in India on June 16

Hyundai is all set to unveil the 2022 Venue Facelift SUV in India. The Korean carmaker has confirmed that it will launch the new Venue compact SUV on June 16. The upgraded Venue SUV, which has seen massive upgrades for the first time since its Indian debut in 2018, will come with a much-updated exterior design. and interior decoration. It will contrast with the highly anticipated Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, which is also expected to launch later this month, along with other competitors such as the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Kia Sonet among others.

The Hyundai Venue SUV facelift will come with simultaneous design changes in the Creta and Tucson Facelift. The front grille will now feature Hyundai's own parametric design language seen globally on new generation models. The LED headlight module will also be integrated into the parametric design language. At the rear, the Venue SUV will get a new set of LED taillights and a new bumper. The profile will likely remain largely the same. The only change will be in the design of the alloy wheels.

2022 Hyundai Venue facelift

The interior will also see some changes, but it may not be as different as the exterior. The new Venue will likely have ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and front parking sensors, among other features. Upholstery and cabin colors may also be subject to some changes.

Hyundai is likely to introduce the new Venue update with two petrol engines. May include a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated unit with 5-speed manual gearbox. There could be another 1.0-liter Turbo GDI unit capable of producing 118 hp and 172 Nm of torque. It will likely be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 7-speed DCT transmission.

Hyundai could also offer a 1.5-liter CRDI turbocharged engine that can produce 92 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. It can be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque converter.

Hyundai Venue clocked three lakh sales milestone since its launch. It was one of the best-selling models of the Korean automaker in India, with the exception of the compact Creta SUV and the i10 Grand Nios hatchback.
