Tata Motors has launched the updated 2024 Tata Nexon EV 45, priced starting at ₹13.99 lakh. This latest model features significant enhancements, including a 45kWh battery pack with prismatic cells, which improves charging time, driving range, and high voltage safety.
Enhanced Battery Performance The new 45kWh battery pack, also seen in the Curvv EV, boasts a class-leading volumetric density of 186Wh/litre and 15% higher energy density. The prismatic cell format not only increases reliability but also boosts battery capacity and reduces charging time by 29%—from 56 minutes to just 40 minutes. The previous model had a claimed range of 465 km, while the updated version now offers an impressive 489 km on a full charge, with a real-world estimate (C75 range) of 350-370 km.
Rapid Charging Capabilities The Nexon EV 45 now supports a faster charging rate of 1.2C, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes using a charger greater than 60kW. In a mere 15 minutes of charging, it can provide a range of up to 130 km. Despite these improvements, the vehicle maintains its other performance parameters, including drive modes and regenerative braking through paddle shifters. The propulsion system is IP67 protected, AIS038++ compliant, and features continuous telematics scanning to monitor critical parameters.
New Variants and Features Tata Motors has introduced a new 'Red #Dark' variant with black and red accents, available for an additional ₹20,000. The 2024 Tata Nexon EV 45 is available in four variants: Creative, Fearless, Empowered, and Empowered+. The features and equipment remain top-notch, offering prospective buyers a range of options to suit their preferences.
