2021 Tigor EV launched at Rs 11.99 lakh, offers 306-km range

2021 Tigor EV was launched by Tata Motors in the personal mobility space on Tuesday, starting at Rs 11.99 lakh (former showroom).rnThe 2021 Tigor EV is available in three trim lines: XE, XM and XZ+. The top trims are priced at Rs.12.49 lakh and Rs.12.99 lakh (Ex-showroom). The double tone of XZ+ will demand a premium of Rs.15,000.rnrnFollowing in the footsteps of its brother ICE (internal combustion engine), GNCAP also praised the 2021 Tigor EV with a 4-star rating for protecting adult passengers (12.00 points out of 17.00) and children (37.24 points out of 49.00).rnrnThe 2021 Tigor EV features Tata Motors' patented high-voltage EV architecture, Ziptron, and is built on the three strong pillars of technology, comfort and safety.rnThe new Tigor EV has an ARAI-certified extended range of 306 km (under standard test conditions). Armed with impressive design, class-leading safety along with impressive comfort and performance, the Tigor EV offers a maximum power output of 55 kW and a maximum torque of 170 Nm and is powered by a 26 kWh liquid-cooled high energy density battery. And motor and battery rated IP 67 for weather and concern proof.rnThe Tigor EV comes with an 8-year, 1,60,000-kilometer warranty on the motor and battery for electric vehicle owners. In addition, it also offers superior driving dynamics and a balanced suspension for more precise handling. Based on platform tested with Rear a collision-adaptive design, the vehicle supports the globally accepted CCS2 charging protocol and can be charged quickly and slowly from any 15-amp connection point.rnTypical charging time (SOC 0%-80% of any 15A contact point) is 8 hours 45 minutes and estimated fast charging time (SOC 0%-80% of any 25kW DC charger).rnrnIt is also equipped with industry-leading low roll resistance tires with 10% lower rolling losses. 2021 Tigor EV publishes a revamping strategy that has been modified after real-world testing in Indian traffic conditions.rnIn addition to a quiet cabin and spacious interior with ample head and leg room for comfortable seating, the Tigor EV is packed with technology in its powertrain, infotainment, connectivity and cargo.
