2021 Force Gurkha launch today: Price expectation of Mahindra Thar rival

2021 Force Gurkha is looking at mounting a challenge to Mahindra Thar's dominance in the off-road adventure SUV segment. Force Motor is expected to reveal the price of the Gurkha 2021 today, which was unveiled a few days ago.rnrnThe Force Gurkha SUV now in its second generation, has received a massive facelift compared to its preceding model.rnrnThe new Gurkha is now the most adventurous vehicle with a host of creature comforts and modern features, which can help it to match up with what Mahindra Thar offers.rnrnAlthough there aren't many changes under the hood, or performance numbers, 2021 Force Gurkha is likely to launch with a starting price of ₹13 lakh (Ex-showroom). The price is almost identical to what a base variant of Mahindra Thar is currently. Thar's manual petrol four-seat convertible AX variant is priced at ₹12.78 lakh (ex-showroom) while the top-spec LX hardtop diesel four-seater automatic variant costs ₹15.08 lakh (ex-showroom).rnrnThe new generation Force Gurkha SUV will get an upgraded 2.6-liter BS 6-compliant diesel engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Power remains almost identical to the previous model with 89 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque.rnrn2021 Force Gurkha 2021 Force GurkharnrnGurkha 2021 will be offered with an AWD option. Force also modified the configuration of the suspension with double wishbones and coil springs.rnrnAs far as the looks are concerned, Force Motor has upgraded the 2021 Ford Gurkha styling quotient with several changes to the exterior and more to the interior. The SUV now has a bolder look with a new front grille. They are surrounded by dual-LED circular headlights and LED DRLs located above the new fog light assembly. On the sides, it has 16-inch alloy wheels placed within the pronounced wheel arches with black claddings. It also has a functional snorkel tube that helps the Gurkha with a water wading capacity of 700 mm. At the rear, the Gurkha has a new set of taillights, as well as a ladder to access the roof-mounted luggage carrier.rnrnStep inside and you'll find a spacious cabin with an all-black interior and captain's seats on display. There are floor mats specifically designed for the 4WD vehicle's outboard capability. In addition, the Gurkha also has a 7-inch infotainment screen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The driver's display is now semi-digital and is located behind a new three-spoke steering wheel.
