What to expect from the Tata Curvv 2024: Design, features and specifications

The upcoming Tata Curvv crossover, which was revealed as a concept at the Auto Expo 2023, will look a lot like the concept. Patent images confirm the final design and production is expected to begin in April. The electric version will make its debut, followed by its ICE counterparts.

Tata Motors will expand its passenger vehicle range in 2024 and the manufacturer has already started the year strong with the launch of the Punch EV. The next all-new model to join the company's lineup in India is the Curvv crossover, which was first unveiled as a concept at the 2023 Auto Expo.

The OEM has confirmed that the electric version of the Curvv will hit the roads first, followed by its ICE counterparts.

Production is expected to begin in April, and the model has already been tested in its production-ready form. Now, patent images of the model have appeared online, confirming the final design of the car.

Tata Curve: Design

The patent image confirms that the design of the upcoming Curvv SUV will be very similar to the previously presented concept. Notable features include a tall bumper with a wide air dam, similar in elements to its older siblings, the Harrier and Safari.

Additionally, it gets a split grille, vertical headlights, a coupe-like floating roof, and sleek, concept-inspired alloy wheels.

Tata Curvv EV: Powertrain

When it debuts, the Curvv EV is set to offer an impressive 400-500km range on a single charge, thanks to its larger battery, compared to the Nexon EV's 30.2kWh battery. While exact specifications have yet to be revealed, it is also possible that the Curvv EV will use a dual-motor setup, allowing all-wheel drive capability for superior performance on various terrains. As for the ICE version, it will likely have a turbo petrol and a diesel engine.

While these are just speculations, the actual specifications of the model will be confirmed closer to its official debut. At launch, the Curvv in its ICE avatar will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
