The Start of Hero’s Electric Dirt Bike Family

Hero’s Vida Dirt.E K3 isn’t just a toy — it’s a miniature electric bike built to teach children the fundamentals of riding while emphasizing safety and adaptability. It’s the first in what Hero MotoCorp envisions as a family of electric dirt bikes, designed to let kids learn, practice, and grow their biking confidence responsibly.

The Dirt.E K3’s adjustable chassis sets it apart. It’s engineered to evolve as the rider grows, making it an investment that stays relevant for years.

Designed to Grow with the Rider

The Vida Dirt.E K3 features a unique, three-stage adjustable chassis—Small, Medium, and Large—so the bike can adapt to a child’s height as they grow.

Adjustable Seat Height Settings:

  • Small: 454 mm
  • Medium: 544 mm
  • Large: 631 mm

The adjustable wheelbase, handlebar height, and ride height ensure a comfortable posture for kids of different sizes. Despite its sturdy build, the e-bike remains remarkably light, tipping the scales at just 22 kilograms, making handling easy and unintimidating even for beginners.

Safety as a Top Priority

Hero has paid meticulous attention to safety, ensuring that first-time riders can explore dirt biking confidently under parental supervision.

Safety Features Include:

  • Removable footpegs – allow walking the bike when needed.
  • Handlebar chest pad – cushions the rider in case of a fall or impact.
  • Magnetic kill switch – instantly cuts power during emergencies.
  • Rear motor cover – shields the rider from the moving chain or motor parts.
  • Rear brake – standard feature with an option to add a front brake.

Parents can also enhance safety further by choosing optional add-ons such as larger wheels, upgraded suspensions, or road-spec tires for mixed-surface use.

Performance: Compact Yet Capable

The Vida Dirt.E K3 comes powered by a 500W hub-mounted electric motor paired with a 360Wh removable lithium-ion battery pack. The bike offers three riding modes — Low, Mid, and High, each with increasing speed and acceleration to help young riders gradually gain confidence.

These progressive modes ensure that young riders start slow, learn safely, and then step up their pace as their skills develop. It’s perfect for short training sessions or light off-road adventures.

While Hero has not disclosed the top speed, the Dirt.E K3’s tune is tailored for control rather than outright power, ensuring fun but secure learning experiences.

Smart Connectivity for Parental Peace of Mind

The Vida Dirt.E K3 isn’t just about play — it’s also smart. Via the Vida connected smartphone app, parents can monitor and control several key aspects of the ride:

App Features:

  • Speed limit configuration for safe riding zones.
  • Acceleration response adjustment for smooth starts.
  • Ride statistics tracking to monitor sessions and battery health.

This combination of digital oversight and mechanical safety makes the K3 a well-rounded training tool for young riders.

Award-Winning Design and Partnerships

The Vida Dirt.E K3 also boasts international recognition, having earned a Red Dot Design Award 2025 for its creativity, ergonomics, and modular adaptability. It draws inspiration from Hero’s motorsport and sustainable design expertise, combining fun with functional form.

The model’s balance of tools, composition, and material design makes it ideal for both indoor practice areas and outdoor mini trails, creating new horizons for young riding enthusiasts.

Vida Dirt.E K3: India’s First Electric Kids Bike

Hero MotoCorp’s deep-rooted trust and Vida’s innovation converge in the Dirt.E K3 — the first fully electric dirt bike designed for kids in India. It reflects Hero’s broader push toward electric mobility, offering sustainable, engaging options even in niche segments like child-friendly off-roaders.

Launching at ₹69,990 (ex-showroom) for the first 300 buyers, the Dirt.E K3 stands as an affordable gateway into the future of electric mobility, right from a child’s first ride.
