The Mercedes Benz is again here with a surprise for the Indian market. The much awaited project of the Mercedes, the Sedan is all set to face the tougher norms of the Indian roads. As soon as the company proudly announced the arrival of Sedan, everyone was surprised. As the S Class sedan will be the very first Indian car to be complaint with the BSVI (Bharat Stage VI) emission norms, two years before they are set to be implemented in the company.

In a high profile event presided by the Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road transport and Highways the model unveiled with a spot light of the diesel-powered S 350 d. The model was catching eyes of the visitors out there in the event.
The S Class 350 d will have many new features making it the most awaited and most desirable model out there. It will have the 2.9 liter, inline, 6-cylinder, turbo charged diesel engine instead of 3.0 liter, turbo charged V6 engine being used currently.

The maximum power developed has gone up to 285 PS, while torque has gone down to 600 Nmg, but the biggest news is the reduction in the emissions. The model has gone eco friendly and is in full compliance with the strict norms of the Indian roads catching the eyes of the auto experts.
The new model when running on the BS VI fuel, will release less emissions. The new diesel engine emits 68 per cent less Nitrogen Oxide a major contributor to the smog, acid rains, and the destruction of the ozone layer. Particulate matter in the environment is also expected to be down with the vehicle.
The recent moves are in accordance to the changes being brought up for the campaigning to reduce the carbon emissions across the globe. The tax fares were slashed for the Electric Vehicles EVs in the Goa. The Mercedes in order to gain the confidence of the government and in turn the government has taken up this step.
With the image of an environment-friendly car manufacturer, it will force the other car manufacturer to take the necessary steps to fast track the manufacturer of the green-cars by 2020.
