Tesla Opens New Delhi Showroom at Aerocity’s Worldmark 3 Expanding India Presence

Tesla has officially inaugurated its first New Delhi showroom at the prestigious Worldmark 3 complex in Aerocity, marking its second retail presence in India after Mumbai. This strategic launch follows the brand’s India debut at Maker Maxity, Bandra Kurla Complex, on July 15, 2025.

Positioned as an experience centre, the Aerocity showroom allows visitors to explore the Tesla Model Y electric SUV, learn about purchase options, and understand Tesla’s charging solutions. The store is set to serve customers across the National Capital Region (NCR), creating a strong northern hub for the brand’s growing Indian network.

Strategic Location for High Visibility and Accessibility

Situated near Indira Gandhi International Airport, Aerocity is a high-footfall commercial district home to numerous global brands. Tesla’s choice mirrors its Mumbai strategy, locating showrooms in dense, premium urban spaces to maximise brand visibility, test-drive opportunities, and customer engagement.

The Delhi showroom not only strengthens Tesla’s presence in North India but also complements its Mumbai facility, where a Tesla Supercharger station is already operational.

Focus on Model Y: Pricing, Variants, and Features

For its initial India push, Tesla is focusing on the Model Y, available in Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range RWD variants. Bookings opened in July 2025, with prices starting at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard RWD and ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Long Range version.

Deliveries are expected in Q3 2025, with availability initially limited to Delhi, Gurugram, and Mumbai. The higher price compared to international markets is attributed to India’s steep import duties on completely built-up (CBU) units.

Performance, Range, and Charging Capabilities

The standard Model Y offers a 500km range per full charge, while the Long Range variant extends this to 622km. Acceleration from 0–100 km/h is achieved in 5.9 seconds for the standard version and 5.6 seconds for the Long Range, both with a top speed of 201 km/h.

Tesla’s fast, charging technology adds up to 238km of range in just 15 minutes for the standard RWD and 267km for the Long Range model.

Design, Comfort, and Technology

The Model Y follows Tesla’s signature minimalist design philosophy, featuring aerodynamic curves, LED lightbars, and futuristic alloy wheels. Eight external cameras enable advanced driver-assistance functions.

Inside, premium materials, dual touchscreens (15.4 inch front, 8 inch rear), ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and a nine-speaker audio system create a refined driving experience. Enhanced noise insulation and laminated glass further improve cabin comfort.

Conclusion: Accelerating the EV Revolution in India

With the launch of its New Delhi Aerocity showroom, Tesla has strengthened its presence in India’s premium EV segment. The strategic location, focus on the high-demand Model Y, and a growing retail and charging network highlight Tesla’s commitment to capturing early adopters in the country.

As India’s EV infrastructure evolves, Tesla’s expansion into key metro cities positions it to play a defining role in shaping the nation’s sustainable mobility future.
