The Tata Curvv EV is available in three personas—Creative, Accomplished, and Empowered—while the ICE version will offer four personas: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished. Both the ICE and EV versions retain the design elements of the concept model revealed in April 2022, featuring a sculpted front end with end-to-end LED daytime running lights, LED headlamps, a coupe-style sloping roof, high-mounted spoiler, and connected LED taillamps. A notable design feature is the flush-fitted door handles, a first for Tata.
The Curvv EV is based on the Acti.EV platform and includes distinct styling cues such as a covered grille panel and aero curtains on the bumper. It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels featuring aero inserts, while the ICE version sports a conventional grille with chrome accents and a more robust airdam. Both versions have 18-inch alloy wheels, but the ICE model features dual-tone wheels.
Inside, both the EV and ICE versions share a similar cabin design, with differences in interior trims: black and burgundy for the ICE and empowered grey and white for the EV. The dashboard is minimalistic, featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (both by Harman), a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof. Additional features include ambient lighting, a new 4-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with an illuminated logo, and the Arcade.EV app suite with over 20 applications.
Comfort and convenience features encompass automatic climate control, a powered tailgate with gesture control, wireless charging, an air purifier, ventilated front seats, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, and a 360-degree surround-view system. Safety is enhanced with 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts with pretensioners, ISOFIX, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems with around 20 functions. The Curvv EV also includes rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, auto-dimming IRVMs, hill hold, and hill descent control.
The Tata Curvv EV, utilizing the Acti.EV platform, offers two battery options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The 45 kWh battery provides 148 bhp and the 55 kWh battery delivers 165 bhp, with both offering a torque of 215 Nm. The 45 kWh version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in about 9 seconds, while the 55 kWh version achieves this in 8.6 seconds. The 45 kWh variant has a claimed range of 502 km, and the 55 kWh variant can cover up to 585 km on a single charge. The EV supports 1.2C fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes with a 70 kW or higher DC charger, and offers a 150 km range from just 15 minutes of charging. It also supports Vehicle-to-Load and Vehicle-to-Vehicle charging.
The ICE Curvv will be available with two petrol engines and one diesel engine option, all featuring the DCA or dual-clutch automatic transmission. The standout option is the new 1.2-litre GDI turbo petrol engine, developed in-house, featuring a variable geometry turbocharger and delivering 250 Nm of peak torque, available in both manual and automatic variants. Additionally, the ICE Curvv will be offered with a new 1.5-litre diesel engine.
