Suzuki Jimny 5-door Heritage Edition introduced in Australia

Suzuki has unveiled a limited edition of its iconic off-roader, the Jimny XL, in Australia. Dubbed the 'Heritage' edition, this exclusive variant pays homage to the 4x4 legacy of the Jimny spanning across the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Limited to just 500 units, the Jimny XL Heritage edition brings forth unique design elements and nostalgic touches, aimed at captivating enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Design and Features

The Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition stands out with its special decals adorned with the Heritage logo, along with eye-catching red mud flaps. Additionally, it boasts a unique cargo tray, further accentuating its rugged appeal. Available in a range of captivating colors including White, Chiffon Ivory with Bluish Black Pearl roof, Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, and Granite Grey Metallic, the Heritage edition exudes a blend of retro charm with modern aesthetics.

Powertrain and Performance

Built in India and exported to Australia, the Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition retains the robust 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. However, it is subtly tuned to deliver 100hp and 130Nm of torque, marginally less than its Indian counterpart. This limited edition variant comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the standard model offers a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as well.

Feature-Rich Interior

Inside the cabin, the Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition boasts a host of advanced features and technologies. It includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, ensuring seamless connectivity on the go. Other notable features comprise hill-hold control, hill-descent control, auto climate control, six airbags, and LED headlights, enhancing both convenience and safety.

Safety Standards

To comply with local safety regulations, the Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition incorporates an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite as standard. This includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), bolstering its safety credentials and providing added peace of mind to occupants.

Pricing and Availability

The Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition is priced competitively and is expected to garner significant attention from enthusiasts and collectors alike. With its limited production run and distinctive design elements, it represents a unique opportunity for aficionados to own a piece of automotive history.

While the Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition marks a nostalgic journey into the past, it also serves as a testament to Suzuki's enduring legacy of crafting rugged and capable off-roaders that continue to captivate audiences across generations.
