Skoda is heading highly to the Indian auto market with the Vision-IN SUV that was unveiled at Auto 2020. The concept car has achieved success and will be launched in production in the second quarter of 2021 with its global debut in India in the first quarter of this year 2021. Now, the Czech automaker has hinted at the next step for the Indian market once the Vision-IN, which is expected to be called Kliq in production form, has been launched. The automaker said it will bring a mid-size sedan to the Indian market. The upcoming mid-size SUV will be the most affordable. It is expected that this sedan will be the successor to Rapid and will be a Skoda player among the Honda City, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Ciaz, and Volkswagen Vento models.
Features of Skoda SUV
The car will get a very similar Skoda family front end that will feature a Skoda-signature butterfly grille, split headlights with full-LED bulbs, and LED fog lamps. It will come with a rugged and muscular exterior design along with plenty of premium features inside the cabin. Expect the Vision IN to be equipped with a virtual cockpit featuring a 10.25-inch MID, a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Sedans have always been a strong point of the Czech automaker; In fact, they have been part of the company's identity since its inception more than 100 years ago. Their most famous models, the Superb and Octavia, are successful sedans and were the first models for the Indian market when they arrived here in 2001.
