Porsche 911 Turbo S Unveils at IAA 2025 Auto Show

Porsche has officially unveiled the new 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S at the IAA Mobility Auto Show in Munich. Touted as the most powerful production 911 ever, it arrives with cutting-edge T-Hybrid technology, a redesigned powertrain, and a host of performance-oriented improvements.

Powertrain and Performance

The headline feature is the newly developed 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six T-Hybrid powertrain, which pushes the limits of Porsche engineering.

  • Power output: 701 hp (up by 61 hp from the predecessor)
  • Torque: 800 Nm
  • Transmission: 8-speed dual-clutch (PDK) with all-wheel drive
  • Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 8.4 seconds
  • Top speed: 322 km/h

During its final development phase in 2024, the new Turbo S lapped the Nürburgring in 7:03.92 minutes, an astonishing 14 seconds faster than the outgoing model.

Design and Aerodynamics

The exterior receives a more muscular stance paired with improved aerodynamics. Wider rear tires and an optimized chassis promise sharper handling and better stability even at extreme speeds.

Key highlights:

  • New 325/30 ZR 21 rear tyres (10 mm wider than before)
  • Front tyre dimensions remain at 255/35 ZR 20
  • PCCB ceramic brake system with new pads
  • Larger 410 mm rear brake rotors (+20 mm compared to predecessor)

Interior Upgrades

Inside the cabin, Porsche has retained its luxury-meets-performance philosophy.

  • Adaptive 18-way Sport Seats Plus with memory function
  • “Turbo S” embroidered lettering on headrests
  • Exclusive Turbo S emblems on seat surfaces and door trims
  • Coupe delivered as two-seater standard, with optional rear seats
  • Cabriolet offered in 2+2 layout only
