Noida Police issues traffic advisory for New Year's Eve, drunk drivers on radar

The conversions will come up near Sector 18 Market and malls like Greater Indian Place, DLF Mall of India, Gardens Galleria, Center Stage Mall, Logix, Spectrum, Starling Edge, SkyOne, Advant Navis in Noida and Ansal in Venice. Mall and Gore City Mall, Barry Chow, Jagat Farm in Greater Noida, according to a police notice.

Noida Police on Wednesday issued a traffic advisory for December 31, warning the public about diversions near crowded markets and malls on New Year's Eve. The police also warned of taking strict measures, including imposing heavy fines and seizing vehicles against violators of traffic rules, especially in cases of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The police said in the warning that various traffic measures and diversions will be taken to reduce vehicle congestion on the roads on New Year's Eve.

The conversions will come up near Sector 18 Market and malls like Greater Indian Place, DLF Mall of India, Gardens Galleria, Center Stage Mall, Logix, Spectrum, Starling Edge, SkyOne, Advant Navis, Ansal Mall, Gore City Mall and Barry Chow, Jagat Farm in Greater Noida, according to a police notice.

The police advised citizens not to park their cars except in designated parking spaces and not to leave them on the streets or in unauthorized places.

“In case of traffic inconvenience, you can call the traffic helpline: 9971009001. Please use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience,” the police said in the notice.
