MG Windsor EV Price Hike of Up to Rs 50,000 in India

MG Motor has just announced a price hike for its Windsor EV in India. Effective immediately, the British automaker has raised the price of its latest electric model by up to Rs 50,000 across all variants. 

The revised pricing came into effect on January 1, 2025, and affects the entire variant lineup of the Windsor EV. This price increase pushes the starting cost of the Windsor EV to Rs 14 lakh (Ex-showroom), making it one of the more premium options in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

In addition to the price hike for the vehicle itself, MG Motor is also raising the price for its subscription-based "Battery as a Service" (BaaS) model. Under this plan, customers have the option to subscribe to the battery separately, with pricing now set at Rs 3.9 per kilometre, up from the previous rate of Rs 3.5 per kilometre. The final cost will depend on the selected financing options and subscription plans, providing customers with flexible pricing based on their individual needs.

The MG Windsor EV, which previously ranged from Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh, has seen a notable increase in its cost structure.
