The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has achieved a new milestone by surpassing 1.5 lakh units in sales in India since its launch in 2023. The Baleno-based hatchback has hit this new landmark in just 14 months of going on sale. Notably, the brand recorded 1 lakh unit sales in just 10 months of the launch.
On an average, Maruti Suzuki sells between 10,000 and 12,000 Fronx units per month, making it the most popular Nexa model after the Baleno hatchback. The automaker recently launched two new Fronx models with additional safety features to appeal to a wider range of customers.
Under the hood, the Fronx is equipped with two powertrain options: a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The former can also have the option of a factory-fitted CNG range on selected variants. As for the transmission, the Fronx is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a five-speed automatic transmission, and a six-speed torque converter unit.
