On Monday, Maruti Suzuki announced the commencement of bookings for its latest compact sedan, the 4th generation Dzire, set to launch on November 11.
With this new generation, Maruti Suzuki aims to redefine the compact sedan segment by offering a progressive design, advanced features, and strong value. Building on the legacy of its predecessors, which have garnered over 27 lakh customers since 2008, this new model is highly anticipated.
Customers can now pre-book the Maruti Suzuki Dzire with an initial payment of Rs 11,000, according to the company.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, remarked that the Dzire’s new design, superior comfort, and cutting-edge technology represent the perfect blend of tradition and modernity for sedan enthusiasts.

According to media reports, the latest version of the Dzire aims to bring several new features and improvements. Here’s a look at the expected top features:
- The exterior of the new Dzire will boast a more aggressive design, including a larger radiator grille with horizontal chrome slats, new LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, and updated fog lights. The sedan will also feature new alloy wheels, a redesigned rear with LED tail lights, and a shark-fin antenna.
- Inside, the 2024 Dzire will showcase a distinctive dashboard similar to the fourth-generation Swift.
- The interior will maintain a dual-tone black and beige theme, with higher-spec models offering leather upholstery.
- Expected features include a large nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system and faux-wooden dashboard trim, with additional options such as a sunroof and a 360-degree camera.
- The new Dzire will likely ride on the same platform as the current Swift hatchback.
- It is expected to be equipped with the new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine found in the latest Swift, producing 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque.
- Transmission options will include a five-speed manual and an AMT, with a CNG variant also in development, offering around 68 bhp and 101 Nm of torque.
- Maruti Suzuki is expected to price this popular model in the range of Rs 7.00-10.00 lakh.
