Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the CNG Grand Vitara in the country, with prices starting at Rs 12.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The CNG version is available in two variants, Delta and Zeta, priced at Rs 12.85 lakh and Rs 14.84 lakh (all prices, excluding showroom), respectively.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG version is powered by a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine that makes 103 horsepower and 136 Nm of torque in petrol mode, while CNG mode delivers 87 horsepower and 121.5 Nm. of torque. The five-speed manual unit is the only transmission offered. The CNG version of the mid-size SUV is claimed to have a speed of 26.6 km/kg.
Notable features of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG Edition include the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with premium touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity, Suzuki Connect telematics, and six airbags. Additionally, the S-CNG version of the model can also be availed through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe with a monthly subscription fee starting at Rs 30,723.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Managing Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, said: “Since its launch in September 2022, the Grand Vitara has received a resounding response from Indian consumers, thanks to its all-wheel drive. charm, complemented by multiple engines prepared for the future. The introduction of an option drive to the Grand Vitara S-CNG will contribute to our aggressive plan to expand our environmentally friendly powertrain offerings, expanding to 14 models."
