Automobili Lamborghini has introduced the new Temerario sports car at the 2024 Monterey Car Week. Serving as the spiritual successor to the Huracán, the Temerario shifts from the V10 engine to a hybrid V8 setup.
Named after a renowned matador bull from Italy, the Temerario has just left the assembly lines in Sant'Agata Bolognese. This latest model boasts a refreshed design, retaining signature hexagonal elements visible in features like the LED daytime running lights and taillights.
Design
The front of the Lamborghini Temerario presents a cleaner dashboard with LED daytime running lights on each side, a sloping bumper insert with fog lights, and a license plate recess adjacent to horizontal fins. The iconic raging bull emblem sits centrally on the front bumper, flanked by elegant dual LED headlights.
The side profile maintains the classic wedge shape with triangular inserts above the hexagonal fuel cap. It also includes a gloss black grille down the rear fenders, a Daredevil badge on the lower side sill, and 20-inch alloy wheels with contrasting brake calipers.
At the rear, the Temerario features centrally mounted exhausts with twin tailpipes, hexagonal LED taillights, an integrated rear spoiler, and a substantial carbon fiber diffuser. The minimalist rear bumper highlights the robust appearance of the rear tires.
Interior
Inside, the Lamborghini Temerario showcases a new steering wheel inspired by racing models, complete with a red-crowned dial for driving modes and a button for launch control. The passenger seat includes a dedicated 9.1-inch screen that mirrors the driver's display.
The car also features the latest Human Machine Interface (HMI) driving the infotainment system through a vertically arranged 8.4-inch touchscreen. Optional features include various carbon fiber inserts and customizations from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division.
Engine
The 2024 Temerario is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine coupled with a 3.8 kWh battery and three electric motors, producing a combined 907 hp. The internal combustion engine alone delivers 789 hp, revving up to 10,000 rpm with a peak torque of 730 Nm between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm. The electric drivetrain contributes 295 hp and drives the front wheels, enabling an all-wheel drive configuration. Transmission is managed by an eight-speed DCT unit.
