Kia Motors has unveiled its flagship electric SUV, the EV9 GT-Line, in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.3 crore (Delhi). Alongside this, the new Carnival was also introduced. For those interested, the EV9 is available with a leasing option.
The EV9 is a three-row fully electric SUV built on Kia's E-GMP platform. It boasts a striking design featuring a blanked-off grille, vertical LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, and similar styled LED tail lights. The SUV also sports flush-fitting door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and rides on 20-inch wheels as showcased during the launch.
Inside, the EV9 offers a spacious interior with three rows of seats and a clean dashboard design. Key interior features include a four-spoke steering wheel and a wide screen that integrates both the digital instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, the EV9 comes equipped with an ADAS suite that includes 27 advanced autonomous driving-assist features.
Powertrain
The EV9 GT-Line in India is equipped with a long-range 99.8kWh battery, providing a range of 561km. It features a dual-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 379bhp and 700Nm of torque. The EV9 supports fast charging via a 350kWh DC charger, capable of charging from 0-80 percent in just 24 minutes.
