Mahindra's latest off-road SUV, the Thar Roxx, has achieved an extraordinary milestone. The booking process for this model began today at 11 AM, and in just 60 minutes, it received an astonishing 1.76 lakh bookings. Deliveries are expected to start around Dussehra, just a few weeks away.
The five-door Mahindra Thar Roxx comes in six variants: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. Prices start at Rs. 12.99 lakh for the RWD version and Rs. 18.79 lakh for the 4x4 version. Both petrol and diesel versions come with standard RWD, while the 4x4 drivetrain is exclusive to the diesel-powered models.
The 4x4 variant also features a new Mocha Brown interior theme, which is unavailable in the petrol or RWD versions. The Thar Roxx offers two powertrain options: a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, both paired with either a six-speed manual or an automatic torque converter.
In the competitive off-road SUV segment, the Mahindra Thar Roxx faces rivalry from the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Force Gurkha five-door models.
