The Hyundai Creta Alcazar is expected to go on sale in mid-2021 and can be priced between Rs. 16 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh (EX-showroom)
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) unveiled the second generation of Creta in February 2020 at the auto show before it goes on sale the following month. The original Creta set the standard for mid-size SUVs to keep track of, dominating the sector for nearly five years. Kia Seltos launched in August 2019 tu
ed out to be a huge success for the Hyundai subsidiary. Hyundai Creta has been at the top of the sales charts for months due to its premium package filled with an attractive list of equipment.
However, the next-generation Hyundai Creta alcazar retu
ed to its glory within weeks of its appearance on the market as it climbed to the top again. The mid-size SUV has dominated the proceedings in recent months as it has emerged as the best-selling SUV for four months in a row.
Creta's range will be expanded further next year as the Creta seven-seat range, which can be called Alcazar, is expected to expand by mid-2021. It has already been tested in its home market in South Korea, and the three-row SUV will follow the recent trend. Among the premium mid-size SUVs getting more passenger options: the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Tata Gravitas are prime examples.

The Alcazar can get slight front styling updates compared to the five-seat Creta, while the side profile will likely feature a longer rear suspension to accommodate the last row of seats. Additionally, changes to create more space mean the rear end can be redesigned with new taillights and the tailgate body. The boot space capacity can also be sacrificed for some margin while including the third row.
The current Creta design is borrowed from the latest iX25 sold in China and has a number of features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connectivity and a 7-inch cluster, Bose eight-speaker audio, mood lighting, and leather seats, panoramic sunroof, etc. We consider these features also to be part of the Alcazar equipment list.
The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar can be powered by 1.5-liter MPi petrol, a 1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel, and a 1.4-liter Kappa T-GDi engine like the regular Creta.
