CEAT launches new range of all-terrain tyres for SUVs

India's leading tyre manufacturer CEAT Ltd has launched a new range of all-terrain tyres for SUVs called CrossDrive. Its new carbon black tread compounds provides better grip and better fuel efficiency. These tyres have been extensively tested on the latest 'NATRAX' auto test track along with some moderate off-road conditions in Indore.

The manufacturer has also collaborated with OEMs like Mahindra to provide CrossDrive tyres for the Thar. CrossDrive tyres range from 15 to 18 inches for the SUV class, making it compatible with SUVs such as the new Mahindra Thar, Toyota Fortuner, Tata Harrier, Safari, Mahindra Scorpio and Ford Endeavor.

CEAT all-terrain tyres

CEAT also plans to launch these tyres in global markets. They will focus more on the off-road specification for the European market due to the weather conditions. In addition, the materials used in the global market will be different from those used in the Indian market, which will inflate the cost. These tyres will be manufactured at the manufacturer's unit in Chennai and Halol.
