BMW X3 Facelift Launched in India, Price Starts at Rs 59.90 Lakh

New BMW X3 has been launched in India at Rs 59.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The X3 is now sportier and more modern with its comprehensive refreshed look, a premium interior with new equipment features, and updated infotainment.

The new X3 comes with a redesigned BMW grille, flatter headlamps and a new front apron. The kidney grille now comprises of a single-piece frame. The front has adaptive LED headlights with Matrix function. The black surround of the full-LED taillights provides a more refined look, while the narrower light graphic now includes 3D contoured calipers and integrated horizontal turn signals in a filigree style. The new free-form exhaust flanges are larger. In the M Sport package, the front apron features larger gloss black-finished air intakes and air curtains. The rear bumper has a diffuser in Dark Shadow. The M Sport model has 19-inch 887M Y-Spoke alloy wheels. However, 20-inch M wheels are also available as an early bird offer.

From the inside, the car gets features such as a multifunction sports steering wheel, electric seat adjustment with memory function, and a set of exterior mirrors. The M Sport model features an exclusive interior package such as sports seats, perforated Sensatec perforated upholstery and an M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons. There is a panoramic glass roof and a light welcome mat along with galvanized decorative elements on the air vents. The boot has a capacity of 550 liters and can be expanded to 1,600 liters by folding down the 40/20/40 split rear seat backrest.

The car is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 252 horsepower and a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1450 - 4800 rpm. The car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 235 km/h.

The engine is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The car gets an adaptive suspension system with electronically controlled individual dampers that adapt to road conditions and individual driving style. The car is also available with paddle shifters, cruise control with braking function and automatic differential braking (ADB) with electronic differential locks as standard.

The new BMW X3 comes with Electronically Controlled Automatic Differential Locks/Brakes (ADB-X), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, help to conquer every terrain.

Also on offer are BMW ConnectedDrive technologies, including BMW Gesture Control and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system gets 3D navigation, with a 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and control display. An additional parking assistant with a 360 camera makes parking in tight spaces easier by controlling acceleration, braking and steering. The vehicle features a 464-watt Harman Kardon surround sound amplifier with 16 speakers with individually adjustable equalizing.

BMW safety technologies include six airbags, Attention Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with automatic stabilization, side impact protection, electronic immobilizer vehicle and collision sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.
