NEW DELHI — Luxury carmaker BMW has launched the M340i xDrive facelift in India, with an ex-showroom price of INR 69,20,000.
The sedan is produced locally at the company's Chennai plant and is available for bookings at its dealership network and website. Deliveries will commence from January 2023 onwards.
According to the carmaker, the BMW M340i is the first M-engined performance car made in India. It is powered by a 2,998 cc six-cylinder petrol engine that produces 374 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. The car completes the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
The model is available in color options including Mineral White, Dravit Gray, Black Sapphire and Tanzania Blue. Features built-in Alcantara/Sensatec upholstery in black with blue contrasting stitching.
It comes with a glass sunroof, a 480-liter storage trunk, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers.
Safety features include six airbags, Attention Assist, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Control (CBC), and Electric Parking Brake with Auto Retention, Side Control - Impact Protection, Electronic Vehicle Immobilizer and Collision Sensors, Run-flat Tires with Tyre Pressure Gauge, ISOFIX Child Seat Installation and Integrated Emergency Spare Wheel.
