BMW CE 04 Electric Scooter Launched In India At Rs 14.90 Lakh

BMW Motorrad has unveiled its premium electric scooter, the CE 04, in India, marking its entry into the premium electric two-wheeler segment in the country. The CE 04 is available at Rs 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is sold as a fully built unit. 

Now the most expensive electric scooter in India, the BMW CE 04 has an 8.5 kWh battery pack that promises an incredible range of up to 130 km on a full charge. Included with the purchase is a 2.3 kW home charger that can charge the scooter from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours and 30 minutes. An optional BMW Wallbox charger is available for faster charging.

India's most powerful electric two-wheeler, the CE 04 is equipped with a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 42 PS of power and 62 Nm of peak torque. Its top speed reaches 120 km/h, and it accelerates from zero to 50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds.

Also, the scooter's design features a single-piece tubular steel main frame. Standard safety features include anti-lock braking system (ABS) with dual disc brakes up front and a single disc brake at the rear. In addition, the CE 04 is equipped with Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and offers three driving modes: Eco, Rain and Road.

Riders looking for extra comfort can opt for the Comfort Package, which includes heated grips and a comfortable rear seat. The "Dynamic Package" includes additional features such as advanced riding modes, advanced headlights, improved ABS, adaptive headlights and daytime running lights.

In terms of design, the CE 04 combines advanced aesthetics with performance. Its elongated shape integrates a slim energy storage unit located in the floor assembly and a compact propulsion system. Standard features include LED lighting, 15-inch alloy wheels and a one-piece floating seat. The scooter is also equipped with a 10.25-inch TFT color display that supports Bluetooth connectivity.

The BMW CE 04 features not only its high performance and advanced technology, but also its innovative design, making it an important addition to the electric scooter market in India. Deliveries are anticipated to commence in September for customers.
