Sedan sales for November 2020 remained flat after an eventful holiday season. Total sales in this segment grew by 2.31 percent to 31,302 units, compared to 30,595 units sold in the same month last year. However, October 2020 sales were one of the best in the Indian auto sector since the COVID-19 pandemic spread in March, but sales in the post-holiday period saw some chill. Looking at the sales of the sedan on November 20, it can be seen that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire topped this list of best sedans under 10 lakhs with a total of 13,536 units sold. This was a drop of 23.35 percent compared to 17,659 units sold in the same month last year, even when DZire had a market share of 43.24 percent.
Honda Amaze
Honda Amaze was ranked No. 2 with an increase in sales of 43.21 percent to 4,706 units on November 20, an increase of 1,420 units compared to the 3,286 units sold on November 19. October special variant based on mid-spec S Model.
Honda City records high growth year on year

Honda City recorded 134.87 percent year-on-year growth with 3,523 units sold last month, up from the 1,500 units sold on November 19. Honda is currently selling the old generation city along with the new city launched in July 2020 in India, so these are combined sales.
Hyundai Aura / Xcent
Hyundai Aura / Xcent ranked fourth on the list of best sedans under 10 lakhs last month with 3,063 units sold, up 90 percent from the 1,612 units sold on November 19. Hyundai Aura was launched in January 2020 and its main competitors are Maruti Suzuki DZire, Honda Amaze, and Ford Aspire.

Hyundai also placed the Vea in sixth place, although this sedan saw a drop in growth of 26.02 percent with 1,487 units sold last month compared to the 2010 units sold on November 19. Vea also received a new base variant that was within everyone's reach. Hyundai Vea E petrol is priced at Rs 9.02 Lakh, making it Rs 38,000 cheaper compared to its current, more affordable form.
Tata Tigor
Tata Motors ranked its Tigor sedan seventh on the list with sales of 1,259 units in November 2020. This, compared to November 2019 sales, represents an annual increase of 65%. Tata Tigor has a 4.02% market share in the sedan segment.

Before Vea, Maruti's Suzuki Ciaz was with a growth of 29.14 percent and sales of 1,487 units on November 20 ahead of 422 units compared to the 1,448 units sold on November 19. Ciaz is sold through the company's premium NEXA outlets and is known for its spacious interiors.
Toyota Yaris
Other competitors in the segment included Skoda Rapid and Toyota Yaris, both of which received increased interest from buyers in November, while Ford Aspire sales fell 43.31 percent to 267 units.
Skoda Superb
2020 Skoda Superb Facelift Skoda Superb also saw an increase in sales as did Elantra, while Octavia's sales fell 90.78 percent to 20 units.

The fourth-generation Skoda Octavia, which made its world debut in late 2019, has been tested several times in India. It was initially planned to launch in September, but the pandemic has likely postponed its release date to early next year.
