New Honda CB300F launched in India at Rs 2.26 lakh

In a surprising move, Honda has launched the new CB300F street bike in India. The bike is positioned below the current CB300R and starts at Rs 2.26 lakh for the Deluxe variant, while the Deluxe Pro costs Rs 2.29 (both prices are at ex-showroom, Delhi). Like the Honda CB300R, the CB300F will also be sold through premium Honda BigWing dealers in India.

The Honda CB300F is powered by a new 293cc oil-cooled SOHC four-valve engine that develops 23.8 horsepower and 25.6 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an auxiliary clutch and slipper. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by upside-down forks at the front and a five-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking duties are performed by a single disc at both ends, measuring 276mm at the front and 220mm at the rear.

The design of the CB300R is inspired by the largest CB500F available in the international market. You get sharp styling lines with lowered headlights and tapered tank extensions with a raked tail section. As for the list of features, there's a full LED lighting setup, a fully digital instrument cluster, two-channel ABS, and Honda's Selectable Torque Control system that's standard traction control.
