CEAT Launches Tyres With Coloured Tread Wear Indicator

New Delhi: Leading tyre manufacturer CEAT Ltd has launched its breakthrough product Colour Tread Wear Indicator tyres. The innovative product, which is also first in the industry from CEAT, enhances customer safety by letting them know when it's time to change tyres.

There is a yellow tape embedded in the tread portion of the tyre, which is not visible in a new tyre. Over time, as the tyre wears off, this yellow strip begins to appear, indicating that it is time to change the tyre. The uniqueness of this innovation is that it shows that the tire has reached the end of its useful life and must be replaced, thus reducing potential accidents caused by tyre instability. These tyre are available in two sizes: 205/65 R15 Milaze X3 for the Toyota Innova and 205/65 R16 Milaze X3 for the Innova Crysta, the company said in a press release.
