Force Motors introduced the 2024 range of Gurkha SUVs last month, with prices starting at Rs. 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom). This launch also marks the debut of the Gurkha five-door in the Indian market, which will be a rival to the upcoming Thar five-door.
Deliveries have already started across India of the new 3- and 5-door Force Gurkha. Both models are powered by a 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 132 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual is the only transmission available. In addition, four-wheel drive is available across the range.
Highlights of the 2024 Gurkha include circular headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, “Gurkha” lettering on the grille, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, a 9-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a Fully digital instrument console. And tire pressure monitoring system.
Bookings for the updated Gurkha set are currently being made for Rs. 25,000 Customers can choose between four colors: white, black, red and green. The automaker is also said to be working on a two-wheel drive version of the Gurkha, which could be unveiled in the coming months.
