2023 Kia Seltos, Sonet launched with diesel iMT powertrain

Kia recently introduced the 2023 Seltos and Sonet with an updated iMT diesel engine in the Indian market. As part of the MY23 introductions, the Kia Seltos petrol price now starts at Rs 10.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.90 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The updated 1.2-litre Kia Sonet petrol variants are now expensive by Rs 25,000.

Kia Seltos 2023 Price As part of the MY23 introductions, the Kia Seltos petrol price now starts at Rs 10.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.90 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The base specification HTE petrol manual variant attracts a premium of Rs 20,000, while the top specification HTX 1.5 IVT is now Rs 20,000 more expensive.

In addition, Kia has temporarily discontinued production of the 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre iMT petrol variants of the GT line of the Seltos midsize SUV.

The diesel variants of the Kia Seltos have received a price increase of Rs 50,000. The Seltos diesel now starts at Rs 12.39 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.65 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The SUV now has an RDE-compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine with a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

2023 Kia Sonet Price

The updated 1.2-litre Kia Sonet petrol variants are now expensive by Rs 25,000. Mechanically it remains unchanged. The Kia Sonet is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that generates 83 PS power and 115 Nm torque. It is equipped with a five-speed MT engine.

The 1.0-litre petrol turbo variants of the Kia Sonet receive a price hike of Rs 19,000 to Rs 25,000. This engine generates a maximum output of 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed iMT engine and a seven-speed DCT engine.

Diesel trims of the Kia Sonet witnessed a premium of Rs 50,000, with the X Line now priced at Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from this, the manual diesel variants of the Kia Sonet are now being replaced by the iMT diesel powertrain.
