2023 Hyundai Verna to offer segment-first dual 10.25-inch screens and switchable controllers

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is set to launch the new generation 2023 Hyundai Verna in India on March 21, and ahead of its global debut, the company continues to showcase the sedan's highlights in a bid to build excitement. This time, Hyundai revealed that the 2023 Hyundai Verna will offer some unique features in the segment, including dual 10.25-inch screens as well as switchable controllers.

The latest teaser, revealed on its social media handles, shows the free-standing dual-screen setup that houses the 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, as well as the similarly sized touchscreen infotainment system. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment system will set new standards in the mid-size sedan segment that consists of cars like the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz as well as the recently facelifted Honda City.

On the other hand, Hyundai revealed that the new generation Verna will get a convertible type console with dual functions. The rotary dials can be used to control the volume and the radio tuning, but at the press of a button, it was possible to switch to the climate control knobs. So far, this feature has only been seen in high-end cars, which will make the 2023 Hyundai Verna the first mass-market car in India to be offered with switchable controllers.

It has also been confirmed that the 2023 Verna will have three driving modes, namely Eco, Normal and Sport. In addition to all the goodies and feel-good features, the sedan is also expected to include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for the first time, which could include autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and so on.
