2021 Bajaj Platina 100 Electric Start Launch in India; Priced at Rs. 53,920

Bajaj Auto today announced the launch of an updated variant of the Platina 100 Electric Start (ES) in India. The new Bajaj Platina 100 is priced at Rs. 53,920 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the most affordable electric start bike on the Indian market. The ES version of the motorcycle comes with new features like spring suspension, tubeless tires, and more. The two-wheeled manufacturer introduced the start-up model of the Platina 100 in India last year at Rs. 51,667 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Bajaj Platina 100 Electric Start (ES) Features


The updated Bajaj Platina 100 ES comes with a refreshed look including a pair of new rearview mirrors. It is available in two colors: Cocktail Red Wine and Ebony Black with Silver Motorcycle Badges available for pre-order at all Bajaj Auto dealerships in India.

In addition to the new features, the updated Platina 100ES continues to have features like tubeless tires, 20 percent longer front and rear suspension, long seats, LED DRL headlights, wide rubber cushions, and more. For braking, the bike uses 130mm disc brakes at the front and 110mm with CBS on both rears. The motorcycle has a telescopic suspension at the front and a spring-loaded hydraulic shock at the rear.

Bajaj Platina 100 Electric Start (ES) Engine


Mechanically, the new Platina 100 ES has a 102cc SOHC single-cylinder engine that is BS6 compliant and air-cooled. The DTS-I engine is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 7.77 hp at 7,500 rpm versus a maximum torque of 8.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 4-speed fixed mesh gearbox. The maximum speed declared on the Platina 100 ES is 90 km per hour.
