▼Vinfast India has updated the colour palette for the VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs, introducing Solar Red, Ivy Green, and a brand new Moonlight Ocean shade. This cosmetic refresh retires the older Crimson Red and Urban Mint options. The vehicles retain their exact mechanical specifications, with battery options up to 70 kWh and a maximum range of 532 km, keeping them highly competitive in the growing Indian market.
A Revamped Colour Palette
The brand has quietly updated the exterior aesthetics of both SUVs to give them a much more sophisticated appearance. The changes are strictly cosmetic, meaning there are absolutely no mechanical or feature updates accompanying this visual revision.
The two outgoing colours, Crimson Red and Urban Mint, have been officially discontinued. These were the standard red and green options previously available on both models. Taking their place are darker, more elegant interpretations of the same hues.
The updated colour lineup now features:
- Solar Red: A deeper shade taking the place of Crimson Red
- Ivy Green: A mature replacement for the previous Urban Mint
- Moonlight Ocean: An entirely new seventh colour option joining the lineup
With the addition of Moonlight Ocean, both cars now offer seven distinct colour choices instead of the previous six.
Retained Powertrains and Specifications
Underneath the fresh paint, the VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 themselves remain completely unchanged. Both vehicles continue to offer impressive battery capacities and performance metrics.
VinFast VF 6 Specifications
The compact VF 6 continues to be powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack. Buyers can choose between two different states of tune based on their performance needs. The lower variants produce a healthy 174 bhp, while the higher variants offer a bumped up 201 bhp. On a single charge, the manufacturer claims a driving range of 468 km.
In the Indian market, this vehicle fiercely competes against the Mahindra BE 6, the Hyundai Creta Electric, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, and the Toyota Ebella.
VinFast VF 7 Specifications
The larger VF 7 builds upon the foundation of its smaller sibling. It utilizes the same 59.6 kWh pack for its base configurations but adds an optional 70 kWh battery for those seeking longer distances. Available across three broad variants, the vehicle delivers an impressive claimed range of up to 532 km.
What truly sets the VF 7 apart is its drivetrain configuration. It remains one of the few models in this specific segment to offer a dual motor all wheel drive setup. This unique distinction is a trait it currently shares only with the upcoming Tata Sierra EV.
