When we think of electric two-wheelers in India, low power scooters with short-range come to mind. However, this is no longer the case for loyal automakers launching powerful electric scooters in the country.
While the electric bike division is still lagging behind in terms of options, that will change very soon. Hero, EeVe, and Evolet showcased their electric bikes at Auto Expo 2020, promising a few launches this year.

The Revolt RV400 is currently only available in two cities: Delhi and Pune. The bike is powered by a 3000 W motor that can produce 170 Nm of peak torque and a top speed of 80 kmph. It is powered by a 3.23 kWh battery that can be fully charged in 4.5 hours and has a range of 150 km.
It is available in two variants: Base and Premium. The basic variant is available for ₹3,499 per month and the Premium variant is available for ₹3,999 per month. Buyers will have to pay 37 monthly installments for both variants.

Electric Hero AE-47
Hero Electric showcased the AE-47, the company's first electric bike, at the 2020 auto show. The bike is expected to launch in the coming months. It is aimed at the premium segment and its price is expected to be around 1.25-1.5 lakh.
The Hero Electric AE-47 is powered by a 4000 W electric motor with a claimed top of 85 km / h. It is powered by a 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery with a range of 85 km on power mode and 160 km on eco mode. The company has revealed that the battery can be fully charged in 4 hours.

Tork T6X
Tork Motors, which received investments from Ratan Tata last year, is currently working on the Tork T6X electric bike for the Indian market. The bike is in the list of upcoming electric bikes in India.
The Tork T6X is reportedly powered by a 72 Ah lithium-ion battery that can be charged up to 80% within an hour. It is reported to be powered by a 6kW BLDC motor which is capable of producing 27 Nm of torque and a top speed of 100 km / h. The bike is claimed to have a range of 100km on a single charge.

Evolet Hawk
Evolet, a Gurugram-based start-up, showcased the Hawk electric bike at Auto Expo 2020. It is reportedly powered by a 72-volt battery that can be charged in 3-4 hours and has a range of 100km. The Evolet Hawk is reported to have a top speed of 120 km per hour and is among the list of upcoming electric bikes in India.

EeVe Tesoro
EeVe is another startup that is working on electric bikes and scooters. The company showcased its Tesoro bike at Auto Expo 2020. However, the company has not revealed much information about the upcoming bike. It is among the list of upcoming electric bikes in India and is expected to launch in June 2020.
EeVe Tesoro is reported to have a speed of 70 kmph and a range of 100 km. The bike can be fully charged in 3 to 4 hours.
