Special editions of the Yaris hatchback prepared to show its public appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020, a series of cosmetic changes.rnrnToyota is preparing to showcase two new special versions of the Yaris at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020: Yaris TRD and Yaris Modellista. Digitally unveiled in the pre-show (which will start on January 10), the TRD version is the most dynamic-looking model, while the Model list looks even more elegant and distinctive.rnrnIn order not to merge with the Yaris sedan for sale in India, both special models rely on the Yaris 2020 hatchback that was unveiled in October last year. Yaris TRD adopts a powerful look and sporty accessories from GR Parts (Toyota Performance Division) that includes a front spoiler, side skirts, and rear spoiler, all finished in matte black with red accents. The exterior is complemented by 16-inch black forged alloy wheels, front bumper rim, side decals, and aerodynamic flap attachments near wheel arches, door masks, and stained windows.rnrnThe Modellista range, on the other hand, adds to the appeal of the standard aperture without looking at the extreme. Body-colored skirts, front spoiler and rear bumper trim are used. The rest complement Chrome on rear-view mirrors, door handles and round headlamps, as well as choosing 14-inch or 15-inch aluminum wheels. The interiors are also receiving special attention in the form of camel upholstery and accents on the board.rnrnTo be launched in Japan on February 10, the new MY2020 Yaris hatchback is the first model to be supported by Toyota's TNGA platform for compact cars (nicknamed GA-B). It is said to be 40 percent stiffer than the outgoing car. Toyota's fourth-generation has three petrol engines: a 1.0-liter grinder, a 1.5-liter unit, a 1.5-liter engine with hybrid technology and four-wheel electric traction. Gearbox options include manual and CVT automatic transmission.rnrnIn addition to the animated versions of TRD and Modellista, Toyota was also promoted to pick up the GR Yaris cover from the Gazoo Racing department in Tokyo.rnrnWith the Yaris sedan already sold on our market, the chances of the hatchback reaching our shores are very bleak. The Indian specification Yaris includes a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine with a power of 107 hp along with a manual automatic transmission or CVT. It will soon be updated to comply with BS6 emission standards and will have a designation price starting at Rs. 8.76 lakh (previous showroom). The competitors of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, and Skoda Rapid are on our market.rnrnAlso read:-BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 | Price Rs 1.65 Lakhrnrnrnrnimage source-autocarindiarnrn
