Tork Motors launches electric motorcycle KRATOS, KRATOS-R

Bharat Forge-backed electric two-wheeler Tork Motors said on Wednesday that it has launched its KRATOS electric motorcycle, along with the KRATOS-R variant, priced at Rs 1.08 lakh and Rs 1.23 lakh (effective ex-showroom Pune post-subsidy), respectively. The company said that KRATOS bookings can be made online through its website and delivery will start from April 2022.

Equipped with a 4 kWh battery, the company said in a statement that KRATOS has a range of 120 km and can accelerate (0-40 km/h) in 4 seconds along with a top speed of 100 km/h.

On the other hand, KRATOS-R has a 9 kWh battery and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a maximum speed of 105 kmph.

The company said that KRATOS comes with a home charger and can be easily charged by installing a charging plug at home.

KRATOS-R has features such as geofencing, find my vehicle function, motor walk assist, Crash Alert, track mode analytics, Smart Charge Analysis, and Vacation Mode.

Tork Motors added that it plans to install a network of charging stations called T NET around the city to facilitate the delivery of passengers.

Kratos-R customers can access the Tork Motors network free of charge for two years.

"We believe that our rigorously tested product will be a game changer in the mobility industry, not only benefiting our customers by making an informed decision, but also providing financial benefits such as saving money on fuel," said Kapil Shelke, Founder-CEO, Tork Motors.

The company said it would launch the bike in India in phased manner.

In the first phase, starting in Pune, the bike will be launched in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, while in the second phase, it will be launched in 100 cities.
