Despite the compounding drop in sales, many motorcycle manufacturers, especially high-end players, are preparing to release a slew of motorcycles in 2021. We list the top upcoming bikes in India that have been confirmed to launch in 2021.

Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 were huge successes for Royal Enfield in India and therefore tops the list of top upcoming bikes in India. Therefore, it is wise for the company to take full advantage of this excellent platform and provide more models based on it. Well, the company is already testing a 650cc cruiser motorcycle which will likely be based on the KX concept shown at EICMA 2018. Yeah! The Aprilia RS 660 along with the Tuono 660 will be launched in India in July 2020. The bikes will be brought to India as fully built units (CBU) sometime in July 2021, once the homogenization process is complete. The news was confirmed by Diego Graffy, Managing Director and CEO of Piaggio India, in a virtual interaction with the journalists. The RS 660 might be a 650-660cc midsize sports bike, but it's not a dedicated lane-focused motorcycle, rather it's built for everyday handling and practicality. It is based on a new 659 cc parallel twin-engine, and will also form the same platform for the bare Aprilia Tuono 660. The parallel-twin produces 99 hp at 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm of maximum torque at 8,500 rpm.

BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 300

Kawasaki informed that the new BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 300 will be launched in India at the end of the first quarter of 2021. In fact, Kawasaki plans to increase the local content on the motorcycle, especially the engine components. . The price of the BS6 motorcycle is likely to drop to ₹ 2.5 lakh. It is a mid-weight roadster that caters to both new owners and motorcycle enthusiasts. The Triumph Trident 660 will also be the new entry point into the Triumph's triumph off-road lineup and will be competitively priced to deliver solid value. You get an inline three-cylinder engine that displaces 660 cc. It's liquid-cooled and generates 80 horsepower at 10,250 rpm with a maximum torque of 64 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slide / auxiliary clutch. The good news is that the Trident 660 will be launched in India early next year. We expect Trident 660 prices to start at 7 lakh or so.

The Triumph Tiger 850 Sport has the basic features of the new Tiger model, but with more manageable performance and an affordable price. It is a road-focused adventure bike and will be the new entry-level model in the Tiger range. The Tiger 850 Sport shares the same base engine with the new Tiger 900 range, so the 888cc three-cylinder engine remains the same, albeit with a slightly different tuning condition. In the Tiger 850 Sport, the engine delivers 84 hp at 8,500 rpm, while it has a maximum torque of 82 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The new Tiger 850 Sport is expected to launch in India in the first quarter of 2021, with expected prices around 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
