Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition Launches with New Variants

Renault India has rolled out the red carpet for the Kwid hatchback’s tenth birthday by launching the Limited-Edition Kwid 10th Anniversary model. This milestone marks a decade of the Kwid in the Indian market, and Renault is celebrating its legacy with a fresh look, new features, and a refreshed lineup. With just 500 special edition units on offer, the Kwid continues to underscore itself as one of the country’s top value-for-money city hatchbacks.

Special Edition Highlights

  • Limited production: Only 500 units of the 10th Anniversary Edition are available, heightening exclusivity for enthusiastic buyers.
  • Pricing: ₹5.14 lakh for the manual and ₹5.63 lakh for the AMT, ex-showroom pan-India.
  • Color options: Eye-catching dual-tone finishes debut — Fiery Red with Black Roof and Shadow Grey with Black Roof stand out in city traffic.
  • Exterior upgrades: The model sports glossy black flex wheels, anniversary decals, and a vibrant yellow insert on the grille, giving the hatch a celebratory aura.

Cabin Features & Anniversary Touches

The Kwid’s cabin gets a fun revamp in the anniversary model, making every journey a little more special:

  • Anniversary-themed seat upholstery with yellow accents, creating a lively ambience.
  • Leatherette steering wheel with matching yellow highlights and custom embroidery.
  • Illuminated scuff plates and puddle lamps — a practical and visual upgrade, particularly for evening commutes.
  • Touches like detailed door trims and a rotary dial gear selector in AMT variants add uniqueness and modern flair.

Refreshed Lineup, Enhanced Safety

In addition to the Anniversary Edition, Renault brings meaningful updates for the whole Kwid family:

  • New nomenclature: RXL becomes Evolution, RXT is now Techno, while Climber stays unchanged.
  • Safety upgrade: Every Kwid now includes three-point seatbelts for all passengers. The Climber variant gets six airbags, up from two — a segment-leading move for entry hatchbacks.
  • Extra kit: Reverse parking camera, electronic stability program (ESP), and hill start assist (AMT only) have been reinforced in the lineup.

Power & Performance

The Kwid Anniversary Edition stays true to its urban roots:

  • Engine: 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol
  • Power: 69 PS
  • Torque: 91–92.5 Nm
  • Transmission: Choice of 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT — both offer peppy city performance
  • Mileage: 21.60 km/l (Manual), 22.30 km/l (AMT) as per ARAI
  • Ground clearance: A segment-best 184 mm ensures peace of mind on potholes and rough stretches.

Tech & Convenience

Modern urban buyers expect smartphones and convenience tech. Renault delivers:

  • Infotainment: 8-inch touchscreen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay — one of the largest in its segment.
  • Utility: Keyless entry, semi-digital instrument cluster, rear parking sensors, and multiple storage spaces are designed for city life.
  • Boot capacity: 279 litres, making road trips and shopping hauls practical.
