Nissan Magnite Open bookings , amount starts from Rs. 11,000

The Nissan Magnite will see price announcements in the coming weeks. While a lot has already been revealed about the Magnite, today we can confirm that quite a few Nissan dealerships have started unofficially accepting reservations for their compact SUV for an amount ranging from Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 25,000. Nissan India is expected to announce the official start of Magnite bookings soon, along with more details.

• The Nissan Magnite comes with two options for a 1.0-liter petrol engine.
• Nissan Magnite prices are expected to start around Rs 5.50 lakh
• Magnite delivery is expected to begin in early December.

Reports say that  Magnite prices are expected to start around Rs 5.50 lakh for the XE and rise to Rs 9.55 lakh for the high-spec XV Premium CVT variant.

As for the variants, the Nissan Magnite compact SUV will be sold in multiple variants: XE, XL, XV High, and XV Premium, and a tech package will also be offered which is expected to cost an additional Rs 25,000-30,000.

With an expected starting price of Rs 5.50 lakh, the Nissan Magnite will undermine all of its competitors in the compact SUV segment, which includes such competitors as Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Toyota Urban Cruiser.

It's interesting that at Rs 5.50 lakh, the Nissan Magnite would undercut the starting price of an entire lot of premium hatchbacks, barring the Tata Altroz (priced at Rs 5.44 lakh).

Nissan is highlighting the X-Tronic CVT gearbox and a host of safety features that the Magnite boasts of. The upcoming compact SUV will be available with two petrol engine options: a 72-hp naturally aspirated 1.0-liter unit equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.0-litre turbocharged unit (HRA0) up to 100 hp and 160 Nm of torque. The turbocharged 1.0 petrol engine will come with the option of a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission (where torque drops to 152 Nm). There will be no diesel engine option on the Nissan Magnite.
