Next-Gen Hyundai Venue Spotted, Launch Expected October 2025

Hyundai’s bestselling compact SUV is getting a bold makeover—and spy shots have just confirmed it. The next-generation Hyundai Venue has been spotted testing in India, showcasing a fresh and more rugged design, new feature additions, and familiar powertrain options. Internally codenamed QU2i, this revamped Venue is scheduled to hit the Indian market in October 2025 and will be produced at Hyundai’s Talegaon plant in Maharashtra.

A Bold and Upright New Design

The next-gen Hyundai Venue brings in a more muscular and squared-off stance compared to the current model. The design tweaks give the SUV a stronger road presence while keeping it compact and city-friendly.

  • The front end features a split headlight setup and a new rectangular-pattern grille, replacing the older cascading design.

  • Boxier proportions with a flatter hood and upright front bumper deliver a more traditional SUV look.

  • Visible front parking sensors and a dedicated ADAS module hint at Hyundai’s focus on upgrading safety tech.

Fresh Details and Features

From the side, the new Venue reveals several updates that enhance both aesthetics and function.

  • New 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels

  • Thicker cladding over the wheel arches

  • Redesigned roof rails and sharper wing mirrors

  • Disc brakes on all four wheels, which were earlier reserved only for the Venue N Line

At the rear, the SUV features a larger roof spoiler and what appears to be a revised bumper with a set of multiple parking sensors. A connected tail lamp setup gives the rear a modern and cohesive look.

Interior Upgrades and Feature Expansion

Though the interior wasn't captured in the spy images, several expected upgrades can be predicted based on Hyundai’s recent trends.

  • A redesigned dashboard and larger touchscreen infotainment system are expected

  • Panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, and ventilated seats may be offered on higher variants

  • ADAS features such as lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and blind spot monitoring could be part of the package

  • Front and rear parking sensors to assist in tight urban driving

Engine and Transmission Options

The next-gen Venue is expected to carry forward the current engine lineup. This includes two petrol engines and one diesel option:

  • A 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 83 hp

  • A 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit delivering 120 hp

  • A 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 100 hp

Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed torque converter, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, depending on the variant.

India Launch and Production Plans

Hyundai plans to officially launch the next-gen Venue in October 2025. The production will take place at the newly acquired Talegaon plant in Maharashtra, signaling Hyundai’s strong push into future-ready manufacturing and expanding its SUV portfolio in India.

Conclusion

The next-gen Hyundai Venue appears poised to set new benchmarks in the compact SUV segment. With a striking new design, expanded features, and enhanced safety tech, it aims to build on the strong foundation laid by its predecessor. For buyers looking for a practical, stylish, and tech-loaded SUV in 2025, this new Venue could be one to watch out for.
