Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said, "Bharat-NCAP is India's independent voice on vehicle safety. Measured against best-in-class global standards, the Bharat-NCAP vehicle classification system is designed to enhance road and vehicle safety standards”.

On receiving the coveted certification, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “Bharat-NCAP is an important step forward as it provides customers with an objective and a credible score to evaluate aspects of various vehicles. This will encourage increased preference for safer vehicles in the country.

We appreciate and value the collaborative efforts of the government, regulatory bodies and the auto industry in this endeavour. At Tata Motors, safety is at the core of our DNA and we are honored to receive the inaugural Bharat-NCAP certification with an exemplary performance rating of 5 stars for two of our vehicles”.
