German automaker BMW has launched the BMW M4 Competition Coupe in India at Rs 1,43,90,000 (ex-showroom). Customers of the new M4 Competition Coupe will gain membership to the exclusive BMW Excellence Club, which offers a range of luxury experiences from around the world. The program includes four main categories: Bespoke Travel, High Life, Grand Platform and BMW Privileges.
The new BMW M4 Competition Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine that produces 503 hp at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm of torque between 2,750-5,500 rpm. This engine is mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. The vehicle offers three driving modes in automatic and manual modes: comfort-oriented, sport-focused and track-optimized. In addition, the BMW M4 Competition Coupé is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.5 seconds.
The M4 Competition Coupe has a large, vertically stacked grille with distinctive dual rails in a horizontal design. The car also has adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlight as standard. To accentuate the sporty character, the ORVM is finished in gloss black, while the aerodynamically optimized wings, rear spoiler and two pairs of tailpipes are finished in black chrome.
The vehicle is available in various metallic paints including - Skyscraper Grey, Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire, Sao Paulo Yellow, Toronto Red and Alpine White in non-metallic paint. For customers looking for customization options, the M4 Competition Coupe can be had in optional paint finishes including: Tanzanite Blue, Draftgrey, Aventurine Red, Frozen Brilliant White and Frozen Portimao Blue. Another optional BMW Individual paint offers Frost Orange, Frozen Black and Dark Gray color options.
As for the interior, the new BMW M4 offers a choice of upholstery combinations: M Leather "Merino" with Yas Marina Blue, Kyatami Orange and Silverstone options. These options are available with a black combination. The vehicle offers telephony with wireless charging, head-up display, smartphone integration, active protection including Attention Assist with Parking Distance Control with front and rear sensors, and Parking Assist. The list of optional features includes driving assistant, additional parking assistant, convenient access system, gesture control, steering and lane control assistant and BMW driving recorder.
In terms of safety, the list of standard features includes head and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, and head and side airbags for the rear seats. Additional standard equipment includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including ABS, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Dynamic M-mode (MDM), Cornering Control (CBC) and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), braking function on dry and differential M active. DSC with M xDrive is claimed to further improve the safety aspect.
