▼The MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition has been teased ahead of its India launch as a second anniversary special edition of the Windsor EV. The electric crossover has completed two years on sale with over 80,000 sales. The edition is expected to bring cosmetic changes, while the powertrain should stay the same.
Teaser Details
MG has teased the Indulge edition but has not disclosed any information on the launch date, the price or the variant which will have the nameplate. The information below demarcates what is official and what is conjecture to introduce clarity in the entire process.
- Edition: Windsor EV Indulge (2nd anniversary special edition)
- Status: Teased, launch expected soon
- Milestone: Two years on sale, over 80,000 sales in India
- Price: Not announced
- Battery version: Not yet confirmed
Given that the launch has been described as upcoming, the complete information will be released soon. While we wait for that, the only completed information pertains to the name of the edition, the commemorative milestone, and the already available specifications.
A Milestone Edition for the Windsor EV
The timing makes sense. The Windsor EV has passed 80,000 units in India, a strong tally for a single electric model, and an anniversary edition lets MG mark that run while refreshing interest in a car that has been on sale for two years. It follows the earlier Windsor EV Inspire edition, which set the template for how MG packages limited-run versions of this crossover. Usually, limited editions do not get any significant upgrade in terms of specifications, and it seems that the Indulge will follow in the same way by just adding a visual makeover to the currently existing model. The key question here is how useful the model is for the customers compared to the original car. The new finishing colours and upholstery will change the external and internal look of the car but will not influence the performance parameters of the vehicle at all.

Expected Changes
The changes are expected to be cosmetic, and none of them is confirmed yet. Here is what the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition could bring:
- A new colorway to set the edition apart
- Dedicated badges on the exterior
- Changed upholstery inside the cabin
- A possible functional addition, since the Inspire edition bundled an integrated dashcam

Because a new colorway and upholstery are the most visible changes, they are likely to be the main reason buyers pick the Indulge over the standard car.
Powertrain and Performance
Mechanically, no change is anticipated, so the Indulge should share the Windsor EV's battery options and output. Two versions are on sale today.

The larger battery pack uses prismatic LFP cells. Both versions make the same power and torque, so the difference comes down to battery size and DC charging speed. On paper, a full AC charge at 7.4kW takes roughly five hours for the 38kWh pack and roughly seven for the 52.9kWh pack, though real-world times vary. The Pro's 60 kW peak should help on longer trips. Both versions make the same 134 bhp, so the Indulge should not change how quickly the car accelerates.

Features That Should Carry Over
The existing Windsor EV already has a long equipment list, and the Indulge is expected to retain it:
- 15.6-inch centre screen with wireless connectivity
- Ambient lighting
- Panoramic glass roof
- A spacious cabin with rear AC vents
In the cabin, the panoramic glass roof, in addition to rear AC vents, provides a spacious experience for the back passengers, along with wireless connectivity on a big screen that takes away the pain of pairing the phone. These features of everyday use will be in addition to a comprehensive list of equipment that has already been taken care of.

The biggest open question is the battery version. The Inspire was exclusive to the 38kWh car, so MG could either repeat that or extend the Indulge to the Windsor EV Pro. The first keeps the edition near the entry of the range. The second adds the larger battery and faster 60kW DC charging. Wait for the official announcement before assuming either outcome. Expect the Indulge to behave like a styling-led anniversary package rather than a new model.
What We Still Do Not Know
- The launch date
- The Indulge price and its premium over the standard car
- Which battery version gets the edition
- The exact color, upholstery, and any functional upgrade
Conclusion
The MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition celebrates the car’s two-year history and achievement of over 80,000 units sold. The car is likely to have some changes in terms of exterior styling, and the basic specs are believed to remain unchanged. The exact launch date, price, and battery are not known yet. Meanwhile, consider the data above only as speculations.
